This interesting pair of books are in poor to fair condition with the leather covers missing some along the spine of both volumes. The leather is tearing loose along the top of the spine and the covers show wear from miss handling and poor storage. The books are fully titled, Personal Memoirs of U.S. Grant. This two volume set was published in 1885 by Charles Webster & Co. This leather bound set shows use and wear with Volume One tightly bound and Volume Two having about 10 pages coming loose but still bound. The books have the printed Dedication to all the US Soldiers and Sailors in the front. These can be repaired or recovered. The books contain numerous steel engravings, facsimiles and 43 maps. Volume One contains 584 pages while Volume Two contains 687 pages.
